This morning we heard from BT about the 21st century network that is going to put the UK ahead of any other country in the world! Whilst we currently work on broadband brought to us at speeds of anything up to 8Mb (if we are lucky!), the new infrastructure will bring us 24Mb for starters!

BT assured us that it is unlikely that the changes will mean changing telephone hardware although this might depend on the age of your current kit. A pamphlet explaining all about the changes will be delivered to each premises prior to the change over.
We then heard a case study of a start up business and looked at the various communication and e-technologies that he needs for growth. We followed the growth of this company through various stages and BT outlined where their products and services fitted with the needs of the business.
