Launch of takeITon TV - 06-Oct-08

Small businesses in the East of England will get a helping hand with their IT issues from today following the launch of takeITon TV, an online video channel, which is part of EEDA's £2 million takeITon business IT campaign. takeITon TV, accessed via www.takeITon.org.uk, will provide businesses with practical advice on a range of business-critical IT topics in the form of online video guides, the first of which takes businesses through each step of setting up a website. Presented by Paul Boag, the Creative Director of Headscape - one of the UK's leading web design agencies - the first guide contains five modules: producing a design brief, designing a website, audiences, content and accessibility and promotion.

Research performed by EEDA in early 2008 revealed that around 40 per cent of small businesses in the East of England don't have a website and they could be losing millions of pounds in lost trade because of not having an online presence. takeITon TV is designed to help businesses see the merits of engaging with IT systems and processes in order to boost their productivity.
