Getting British Business Online - 08-Feb-10
Google, Enterprise UK, the Department for Business Innovation & Skills, BT and e-skills UK have been working together to develop a proposition to help get small businesses in the UK online through a campaign called Getting British Business Online.
The campaign will officially launch on 18th February and aims to help 100,000 small businesses and entrepreneurs create their first website and attract new customers online by the end of 2010 through:
· A free customised website
· A free .co.uk web address
· A free self help tool to attract new customers online
· A bespoke accredited training unit offered through training providers and colleges
We need partners who are leaders in advising and working with micro/small businesses and entrepreneurs to raise awareness of the benefits of being online. This is where you come in.
By being involved you will benefit through:
· Greater awareness of your organisation through a national PR and marketing campaign backed by the government and Google
· Added value by giving businesses access to free business-changing tools
· Expert support in organising events and promoting the campaign to your members
To join the campaign and sign up as a partner please visit www.gbbo.co.uk.
